Check the Hook/Lead  - 
              What did the writer do to grab your attention?
Check the Body  -  Details 
           How many detail/paragraphs did the writer include?  There should be at least three
          detail paragraphs.  There should also be an introduction and concluding paragraph.
Check the Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling
Now Read the paper from beginning to end.
Comment about the writing:

Class discussion (page 572 in the Anthology textbook)
Before we read, we discussed first impressions of the portrait found on this page.  What did we see in the picture?  What does the picture make us feel?  Who was this man?   What was he doing?  How was he feeling?

Next, we looked at the title, "Harlem."  Class members offered their thoughts, beliefs and knowledge regarding Harlem.

Mr. Green read the poem aloud.  Class talked about what happens to dreams that are deferred.  What are some reasons that dreams get deferred?
